“Who?” is the most important question

Here’s the audio: Relationships 01- _Who__ is the most important question (06-30-2011)

Here’s the introductory description:

We often chart our lives (or, at least, the chapters in it) based on the questions, “What?,” “Where?,” and “When?” If you’re a Christian, you already know the answer to the “Why?”, so these others seems to fall in line next. So, you start running through the list…

  • What am I called to do? Should I teach kids? Should I start a business? Should I have two kids or four of them (or more, or less)?
  • Where? is the next question. Should I teach kids in the inner city, or the kids in the suburbs? Should I start a home-based business or a… Should I live in downtown or the posh place with the good school system… The questions go on and on and on…
  • When? often comes into play, too. It’s the “timing” question. You figure it’s better to get married sooner, or to have the kids later… or to finish school and then start the business… or to live in the apartment for now, but to buy the house later…
Here’s the deal: we spend most of our time trying to chart out plans based on the questions above- but the primary question you need to answer is “Who?” Click below for the audio to this teaching- from The Thursday Night study at The Birmingham Dream Center:

I learned that I need to stop trying to answer the What and When and focus on the Who. I will work on answering that question until I have my answer. Awesome teaching and it does make sense in order to answer the other two you must answer the Who to get the rest.
